I have a heel problem which had required a couple of painful injections, six months apart. The doctor told me to stop wearing 'Crocs' as they did not offer enough heel support. I did as he said, and started wearing these. No more pain! No more shots! Hooray! I've worn them daily around the house and outside. When I get home, I kick off my 'city shoes' and wear these. My feet go, "Ahhhhh" when I put them on. LOL! I just noticed today there is a small tear at the first strap developing, so am ordering another pair. I am amazed they have lasted so many years and through mud, water, etc., so well!

Color! Color! Color!

I think I have been wearing these shoes close to 20 years now. None of the other styles fit as well as these. I would buy more pairs if only you would make them in the lovely bright colors that you use in your other shoes. Even white would be better than all those plain earth tones. Blue and red would be great!

Not exactly the prettiest sandle, but it sure helps me feel comfortable, when doing my chores around the house, i have plantars fascitis & small heel spur, and no longer can wear those flat cheap flip flops, these cross-straps, will be a constant part of my wardrobe.

I love my cross straps. I have several pairs of them. I've tried other styles, but none of them feel as good as these. Please, please consider making them in some of your bright colors.

ok so i see these shoes on a lady in the er. i ask her where she got them. she says they are the best shoes she ever had and they were her 4th pair!
so, i go online, i find the website and i order them...well......i havent stopped wearing them and my flat feet are sooo happy! no more blisters or aches!
reasonably priced and very supportive for flat sandles!

Cross-strap sandals

I purchased two pairs of cross-strap sandals after reading the reviews. I found the straps near the arches were too loose. In addition, the soles under the balls of the feet didn't provide enough support for me. I have fibromyalgia and had read reviews that Okabashis were better than Crocs. Unfortunately, in my case, I found the Crocs to have more support in the soles. I ended up returning these sandals. Just a warning ... cost of shipping to return the sandals was around 75% of the cost for one pair of sandals. Customer Service was very responsive when I misunderstood an e-mail and excellent to work with.

This style has become my favorite summer shoe and I've only been wearing them for two days! The material is flexible enough not to rub my little toe, which was a concern when I bought them. The shoe cradles my foot nicely, the arch support and massaging beads is not obtrusive, and I love the fact that I can wash them.

This style is not so unattractive; dressier than flip-flops so I can wear them to work. I'd love to see more colors - navy, forest green, dark teal...I'd buy more so I could wear them with everything!

Note: If you wear an 8, go for the larger size. My sandal size is 7 1/2 and my heel was right at the end.

I've been wearing Okabashi sandals for many years - for casual wear, around the house and even the ones with smaller wedged heels go well with dressier looks. They're my "slippers" around the house, I wear them outside and even to work - the MOST comfortable shoes I've ever bought. I'm spoiled.....other shoes are uncomfortable. The Cross-Strap is much lighter-weight than most of the other varieties - I love them....no matter what everybody says about them. I have "bad" feet with low arches - these shoes are wonderful!!

I bought this style as my very first pair of Okabashis. I have been considering trying them for a while, and on a trip to Walgreen's recently, I decided to snag a pair. This was the only style they had in my size, and I got them in black. I wear a size 10-11 in women's, and I have a slim foot in thickness and on the narrow side of medium width. I bought the size Large, and it fits great. I often have a problem with sandals that don't have adjustable straps, as they often don't even touch the top of my foot where they should. These are great with only a little looseness at the strap closest to my ankle, and that isn't much at all. These are VERY comfortable, and they don't feel like a non-breathable man-made shoe like many do, perhaps because of the textured insole and design. I love the fact that I can get these wet or wash them, and they dry right away without damaging the materials like what would happen with a leather sandal. They look even better on than on the rack, too!
