Love Them

I purchased a pair of these at a drug store. I have worn them for 4 years, inside, outside, etc. A tear started to develop and I drove all over trying to find them again. Did a search and am so glad for this site. I have ordered two more pair, and a couple of other styles in different colors. I absolutely LOVE them. I will say they kind of run narrow. I have a narrow foot, and they don't slide off. They stay on with no trouble.

I ordered 5 pair of shoes. This is the only pair I was disappointed with. They are very narrow and I can not wear them long enough to see if they will relax and stretch. They are great quality for someone with a narrow foot. I will still order other products but just not this one.

I bought this style to replace my prior Okabashi sandal that had been discontinued. I have problem feet and can't wear just anything. I need my foot to be held with something to help prevent pronation but it also has to be flexible to allow me to be agile around the house doing all my chores. I am really happy with the Messina style. It actually seems better than my old style sandal. I like everything about it.

I have always walked around the house bare foot, until I diagnosed with diabetes. Looking at the pictures, I thought I would have to break the shoes in. Not at all! I put my Messina's on, went out to run errands I was so comfortable. I wear these inside and out. These shoes protect my feet, I recommend Okabashi for diabetics with healthy feet. They are comfortable,don't rub or pinch. I believe they are better than slippers. In the winter I just throw on a pair of socks and I'm good to go. They stay on your feet no slipping. What a great shoe!

These sandals are so comfortable! I have 4 different styles of okabashi now, and I wont wear anything else!! They are so durable and of course you can get them wet, unlike alot of the sandals I used to buy. Thank you Okabashi for producing such a wonderful sandal!

Good quality, but I can't wear them with socks (I live in the "socks-with-sandals" Pacific Northwest). I would buy a wider width if it were offered.

My go to shoes...

for anything! I am a huge Birkey fan, but I couldn't wear them at the beach or in the garden without ruining them. I bought four pairs of Okabashi's two springs ago and I am sold! These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have and I find myself reaching for these more than any other pair, even the Birkeys. If I get them wet...they are still all good. If I get them muddy in the garden, I rinse them off with no harm to them at all. I have used these as my tourist shoes in Hawaii with no aching feet or back even after days of walking just about everywhere. By the way, after two years of wearing them year round (I don a thin pair of socks with them in the winter), they still look the same as they did when they first arrived! Thank you! I will be purchasing more in varying styles and colors...cant wait to try the clogs!!

These are a good flat sandal. I find that they fit snuggly on the top of my arch so I can’t wear them as long as other styles without getting blister on the top of my foot.

Who needs shoes?

I've been wearing O's for years - to work, when traveling, at play, with and without socks. They don't seem to wear out, and I only have to buy new pairs because my rabbit has a fondness for chewing on them. The Messinas are the best things for my feet and provide enough support for long walks on both pavement and natural ground (hiking thru golf course and gravel). I've stopped wearing real shoes once I discovered these. They're extremely durable because I leave a pair out in the garden, exposed to the hot baking sun of Las Vegas - and they have not dried up or cracked. Best of all - made in the USA. Need I say more?

A few years ago I stumbled upon a pair of Messina sandals at a local drugstore and was smitten. I wore them 9 months out of the year and occasionally in snow until I plum wore them out. I could barely make out the Okabashi name on the bottom, but was so pleased to find this website and all its treasures. Can't wait to share with my husband and buy styles for the whole family. I know I'm getting 4 pair, different styles and colors, right off the bat. I loved reading they're dishwasher safe. Wait until my husband reads that. Personally I just wear mine in the shower when they get dusty and they're like new. A spot spray with Endust gives them added shine but only on the tops!
