Sizing Guide NOT accurate :-(

I would give this shoe 5 star rating if it were only about quality, but you can have a lot of quality, but if you do not have a good fit, it is a total loss. I am an 8.5 so ordered the ML (8-9) size. The foot bed, at best is exactly the length of my shortest foot, (needed to be a bit longer), and too short for my other foot. In addition, as others have said, the straps too tight and don't expect that firm plastic to stretch. So, no way will this work for me and since I got such a good deal on a discount code, I wouldn't benefit to return them at reshipping costs and all. I am very disappointed as I am hesitant to even try other styles for fear of an ill fit. Bummer
I also order Indigo so please see that better review.

Ocean has changed!

I almost LIVED in my original pair and wanted exactly the same in a new pair. The straps on the new Ocean are shorter, especially the toe thong. I wear a M and have a narrow, thin foot. The new ones are so much tighter on the top of my foot that I am having to get another style. SO disappointed! Why did they change a best seller? The page that shows the Indigo Ocean and the regular one shows how much taller the straps are on the regular Ocean. I think the new Ocean used the forms for the Indigo, because that's how my new ones look and fit. They should update the picture to accurately represent the current Ocean!

Very small, thong hurts my toes

These flips run very small. I wear a size 7, so I ordered the women's M (6.5 - 7.5) thinking I would be right in the middle. I could squeeze my foot in, unlike with the Splash style, but then the plastic thong was very uncomfortable. I was very disappointed. I would like to try another size, but since I have to pay for return shipping, it's not worth the risk a second time.

Frustrated by sizing and color

This model runs really small. I usually wear a 7, sometimes 7.5, and I ordered a 8-9 ML and it is none too big. I ordered 3 pairs of the Maui model previously, and went up a size, per someone's review, and they were too big. You have to pay return shipping with this company, even if you are exchanging, so I gave them away. The color I ordered was Georgia Red and it looked quite orange online. That is what I wanted, but when they came, the color was a true red. The bumps on the footbed are weird and the arches really aren't that high, even though it says they are. So I doubt I will order any more shoes from this company. I will stick with the Tide model of Orthoheel. They are more expensive, but they fit better and aren't as frustrating to order from.

Strap weakness?

I love my Oceans, and was so sad when I realized that the strap is ripping through at the point where the side strap contacts the footbed. Much to my disappointment, I've had them for two years. :( But given the point where the rip is, I have to wonder if this is a design flaw. But I love them, and I'll order another pair!!!

Really good!

My husband and I were going on a cruise from Miami. Needed a pair of nice looking flip flops badly. Just happened to see these, tried them on and was in love. They are the only shoes I can wear that let me walk "normally" without twisting my foot so it doesn't hurt (plantar fasciitis). What a relief! Thanks for making such a superb product.

I worked in retail for a number of years and had heel pain, sore feet and lower back pain daily. I started wearing crocs and my feet felt better. I'm almost 55.

I give these only four stars because the top straps are tight on me. My feet are wide and fat because I struggle to get these on. These are much better looking than crocs, a better price and my back hurts less when I wear them. I'm looking for my second pair, a nice operator told me that Marina, Maui and Wave are wider.

If the top strap ever breaks, I will put these inside my snow boots to use as a comfortable insole.

Disappointed

Wife and 12 yr old both wear a 10. (Yes!). L did not fit either one of them. They both said they were comfortable, but a little too small (three different styles!). Seemed like great flip-flops for the price. Going back.

Not liking them

My sister had me try on a pair of her Okabashi shoes, which were really comfortable. I thought all of them would be. I purchased 3 pr of this shoe and they are not at all comfortable. There's no arch support, even tho it looks like there is, none of the cushioning that was in her shoes. Back to square one. She's hard to contact to find out what shoe she has, assuming she knows the name

Love my Okabashi Ocean Flip Flops!

I have been looking at these every summer at Walgreens, this summer I purchased my first pair. I love them, they have great support and are stylish. I usually wear a size 81/2 or 9 and the size ML fit great. Now I am back to buy 2 more pairs in differnt styles. One to wear out and about and one pair to keep in the house instead of slippers. I just wish I could wear them to work!
I really love that they are made in the USA!
Thank you and keep them coming.
