Satisfaction

I purchased a pair in white several years ago and love them. They are so comfortable that I wear them constantly everywhere - shopping,to the beach and even on long walks. I just have to order a new pair, finally going on line to see where they are available - since the soles are beginning to wear out. After years of constant use, a new pair is in order.

Better than expected!

I saw these shoes (in black) & thought that they would be good for weekend wear. They looked much less plastic in person & ended up be my go to shoe for work during the summer. It is a casual environment, but you are still expected to look nice, and the black shoe went well with longer, Bermuda type shorts & skirts. I have a 6.5/7 sized foot that is slightly wide. The size medium fit well but if you have a foot that is 7/7.5, you might want to size up.

These were comfortable and fit great, but the straps started ripping on the sides a year after purchase, and that is not wearing them all the time, either (just sometimes to work). It's too bad; I like wearing the "nicer" Okabashis as work-appropriate sandals.

Been wearing them 7 years

I just ordered my first pair online- I previously had bought 3 pairs ( Sienna in brown and black, Paris in brown) at local retailers. I had my first Sienna pair in black for 7 years, and they broke this week. I ordered a pair online and they were here in 3 days! Great shipping! I wear these for work in our short summers here, and get compliments all the time on them, and everyone is always stunned when I tell them that they are made of plastic, right here in the USA. I also love I can wear them to the lake too. You can't beat the price, how comfortable they are or how versatile they are. I wear an 8/12 to a size 9. My black and brown pair both are a ML. I also have a wide foot, and they fit with no problems.

Pinches little toes

Maybe it's just my feet, but unfortunately, these rub up against my little toes and are very uncomfortable for me. I don't have especially wide or funky feet, so I'm not sure what the deal is, but I wore them for just one day and couldn't wait to take them off when I got home from work. Maybe I should try another style. I really wanted to like them, but they didn't work for me.

Doesn't hold a candle to Cleo

I had to replace my tearing wheat/off-white colored Cleos which I have been wearing and loving for nine years. I wanted the same color, because it goes with so many of my clothes and is very versatile. It was no longer available, so I bought these in white, thinking that the only difference was the 6 cross-straps vs the 7 in the Cleo.
I was wrong... these do not fit as well: the straps are placed farther back on the shoe, and my high instep prevents my toes from going far enough forward. The toe of the shoe is squared-off, not tapered like the Cleo. I tried to change the color by soaking them in strong coffee, but they would not take on the stain (good news if you want bright white shoes!). They are overall not as attractive or comfortable as the Cleo. I am making-do, but am not happy.

I have worn the Sienna style for five plus years and love the look, wearability , and endurance. I started with the wheat color which i found to be attractive with all styles and colors . It was, sadly, discontinued and can only be sporadically found on secondary sites, such as eBay but never in my size. The remaining colors, black and dark brown, seem too harsh for lighter colored outfits and white has limited seasonal wear. PLEASE bring back the wheat color.

Miss the Cleo!

I have many foot problems as a result of polio. Okabashi's Cleo has been like a miracle for me. When I found out how very, very comfortable they are for my small, but wide foot, I bought several pairs in each color. Sadly they are wearing out after years of faithful, comfortable service. I join the chorus of other customers who are asking you to bring back the Cleo!!! It was more attractive and more comfortable. The wider space between the straps on the Sienna allow the little toe to stick out. The Cleo had a higher heel which was great for me as my left foot has a fused ankle. The Cleo was perfect. I have to pay my cobbler to build up the heel on the Sienna, which more than doubles the price of the shoe. Even for folks who don't have that problem, the higher heel looked dressier. I wear my old Cleos with socks in the winter. I wear them in the shower, the pool, and the ocean. They are the only shoes that I can walk in without pain. BRING BACK THE CLEO, PLEASE!!

I want to love them

But I certainly loved and adored the Cleo. I got my Cleos purely on a whim one day and boy did I hit the jackpot! However, I never found them in the drugstores again, so I went online and was distressed to learn they are no longer available - now they're Sienna, and I don't like the less feminine look. I was afraid to get these and settled for a pair of Cross Straps (which I have come to love)but now these are worn out. Do I order the Sienna when I don't like the less feminine look? What if they don't fit like the Cleo? Can't you bring back the Cleo?

I had been given a pair in a size small and loved them! But I actually wear a size 6.5 shoe, so I emailed Okabashi asking if I should get another Small (as I was ordering another pair) or a Medium. The small fit me but was just a tad tight. I was told I should get the Medium and that it is 1/2 longer and only 1/8 inch wider. I did just that...got them today and they are too big for me! I can't walk in them without it feeling like they are going to fall off! To return them would cost too much so I will give them to someone who can wear them.
