These are the most comfortable shoes around, since they discontinued the Cleo years ago. I buy these and wear them until they literally fall apart. They are guaranteed for 2 years and they last and last. I do break the ribs and have to give up on them after a few years. It just triggers another round of purchases. I only wish they came in more colors!

End of Season Steal

I bought these for a couple of dollars at the end of season sale at a local drug store. Didn'tthink much about them till I tried them out.
I LOVE them. I wear them constantly, and the feel as comfy and look as good as the did last summer. I will be paying full price for my next ones. They are worth it.

Year Round "Shoes"

"Shoes" is in quotes because they are essentially sandals, but I live in these Siennas most of the year. I even have a pair of red ones. My only complaint: They always break on me on the "ribs" and not always in the same place. But I keep buying them. I have complained before, as they discontinued the predecessor show that had more "ribs" - they told me they would help me, but I never made the point of packing up the bad ones to exchange. Anyway, I will be recycling them sometime soon and replacing them with more, mostly in black and dark brown!

Elaine Douglass and Liza D: To each her own, LOL. Okabashi's aren't ugly shoes; maybe the shoes you think are pretty are based on corporate machinery (advertising and marketing) telling you they're pretty and Okabashi's don't put their money into that facet of the fashion industry.

Or maybe you have ugly feet that Okabashi's don't disguise?

If you are all up in foot fashion, maybe you should traipse over to Okabashi's more fashion foot forward site: OKAb. http://www.oka-b.com
(I think that's where Okabashi's designers are busy putting in their efforts for people like Elaine and Liza.)

The rest of us can enjoy Okabashi's great deals on sensible shoes made in the USA.

Extremely comfortable ugly shoe

I agree with Liza D in LA, who wrote in her review, “These shoes are so ugly/unattractive but so ridiculously comfortable! I sacrifice my fashion ego [to wear them].” So I ask, why does Liza D or I have to sacrifice our egos to wear Okabashi shoes? Can’t your company put out an attractive shoe?

My second question is, Doesn’t your company have a “design department”? What do they do for a living? It sure isn’t designing shoes ‘cause it’s been at least a year and possibly two since Okabashi came out with any new designs.

Here you have 2 customers telling you your women’s shoes are “ugly”—flat out butt ugly—and you don’t do a thing about it. You don’t even issue any new ugly styles.

Okabashi shoes are the most comfortable shoe in the world, and the most unattractive. How about you re-issue the Rosemont, a good-looking shoe, and you’d have at least one attractive shoe. Given how comfortable your shoes are, if they also looked good you people could probably make some real money.

Love these shoes

I have these in brown and just love them. I have difficult feet, a high arch so these fit perfectly since I need just a slight lift in the heel. Usually when I get home I immediately take off my shoes but these are sooo comfortable I forget I have them on.
One thing tho, sure wish they came in an assortment of summer colors. They would be so cool in green, aqua, pink, ecru etc etc. I would buy lots more if they came in cool summer colors.

Totally Surprise!!!!

I have been having pain on my feet for about 4 months, including unable to get up from bed because of the pain on my soles. I used to wear 4" heels all the time and had recently switched to flats. The doctor said that changing from heels to pure flats was hurting my arch and I was possibly getting flat feet. After doing some research online read about plantar fasciitis. While shopping at CVS Pharmacy I saw this sandal in brown, noticed the heel balance, arch support and the full front support for $12.99, a steal and on sale for $10.39. I purchased them with the hope that it will alleviate the pain, successsss today all day in them and I can move without hesitation, my pain is not there, will keep using them and will buy more if the pain free continues. Already called family members in Puerto Rico who want to get them. God willing, I will be a long term customer. Thank you for making these type of shoes and MADE IS USA.

I have had these shoes for over 10 years and LOVE them but couldn't remember where I got them. My son's puppy got ahold of one and chewed it up. I was so thrilled that I could make out the name on the bottom of the shoe and then found the website. These shoes are so comfortable and perfect for gardening, boating and camping. If they get dirty you just wash them off. Can't wait to get my new pair! Thank you Okabashi!

These shoes are so ugly/unattractive but SO ridiculously COMFORTABLE. For the price you cannot beat these! (And no animals hurt in the making). I sacrifice my fashion ego for the extreme comfort! I can't live without them and find myself wearing them all the time over more expensive shoes.
