Great service that I felt compelled to write a review

I want to write this review to thank Tonya Franklin. I used to have the simple slide style Okabashis and they lasted forever. However, the perforations on the basket-weave style, while good for ventilation, is also a weak point where the sandal would tear. I e-mailed my trouble to Okabashi, and it was taken care of [e-mail to new sandals arriving in the mail] in a matter of days - Tonya was even willing to swap me with the old style I wanted which was not available at the store! That's great service that listens to their clients.

Very comfortable

I find the Torino very comfortable but unfortunately I had the top tear badly after only one season. I have worn Okabashi for decades and this is the first time this has happened to me. Am going to try to exchange them for the traditional weaves.

I discovered these shoes when I was 17 and I have not found anything better to put on my feet as everyday shoes in 19 over years. THANK YOU SO MUCH OKABASHI!

I bought mi first pair about 2 years ago. Now I have look trough 8 Walgreen's Stores but haven't found them yet. It's an outstanding product and, more over, environment friendly. They feel excellent on my feet.

Had to find online!

I have worn out two pairs of Okabashi sandles this Summer! Our local chain drug store didn't get their usual supply this year, and I had to go online to find some!
The only complaint, is the RV park we are staying in has gravel driveways, and small rocks get wedged in the soles. Other than that, it has been the only shoe I have worn for over a year. Great when it is raining and I have to take the dogs out, rubber doesn't stay wet! Thanks for the wonderful shoes!

I purchased these shoes on a whim not knowing if they would be comfortable or not. I have a very flat foot. I generally don't like shoes at all...LOL However, these sandals are very comfortable and surprisingly they don't make my feet sweat. I wear them a lot and that says a lot for me...LOL

Good top-bad bottom

I've had these shoes for roughly a year now and they are very comfortable however the design of the soles allow them to pick up small rocks, acorns etc which I find very annoying. The soles need to be redesigned then they'd be 5 stars.

Excruciating pain

I have suffered for many years with Planters Fasciitis. It is like walking on nails. VERY painful!! I have purchased many other types of shoe touted to fix that pain, HAH! I wasted alot of money. Then I found the Torino sandles at a drug store and was so thankful I did. These were the only footwear I could walk in without great pain. I've had Okabashis now for some 10++ years going through many pairs. The pain is vastly reduced.
I wear them everywhere I go except to church, but they are in the car waiting to change into. I live by the motto, "Don't leave home without them" Seriously!!

ONLY shoe I wear!

I've owned probably 5 pairs of the Torino over the years! ..perfect for mowing the grass, going to the beach, out shopping, or even to church! They've been everywhere with me! My wife hates them though; we saw convicts down at the county jail wearing them on a newsclip onetime; since then she calls them my "convict shoes", but little do I care! They're the most comfortable sandal / shoe I've worn! ..just wish they still came in the lighter brown color! But, I've got the brown, and the black, for 'dress' occasions! Keep 'em coming!

The best home footwear I know of!

This is now the only "slipper" I ever wear. Whether I'm barefoot or wearing socks, this is what I wear if I want my feet to be comfortable around the house. Even if I'm not standing or walking -- when I'm just sitting or even lying down -- they feel like they're gently massaging my feet. Waves of relaxation just run up my legs. (No kidding -- they really do!) That's important to me because I have aches and pains in my legs that regular slippers (and most other footwear) just don't do anything with.
