Very comfortable

When we went to Oahu, I walked with these for 2 miles without any problems, these are very comfortable. After walking for 2 miles, these still look the same. I ordered different style this time from Okabashi and I will try to walk with them to see the difference.

Out of three styles, this is not a good one.

I have the Pacific and the Cross Strap which are good shoes but the Wave just does not fit right. It's too wide, too long, cuts into my foot. Not happy with and it's probably not worth to ship it back.

I bought my first Cross strap in a store and then subsequently on line and it was okay but I think the quality of the 2nd one was inferior to the original one i bought. Maybe it was a cheaper quality? But it was okay.

The Wave is just not a good shoe.

Not wide enough for wide feet

I just received these with a couple of other styles. They had been reviewed by another customer as one of the wider footbeds made by Okabashi. I was barely able to get my foot into the shoe and had to walk my toes gradually up toward the toe. I don't know whether the front piece will stretch at all with use or whether I need to return these. I like the look of the design, but the fact that they are not at all adjustable makes the wide plastic top a fit problem. The styles with narrower top pieces seem to be more fit-forgiving.

Great for narrow - medium feet

This shoe would be great if your foot is narrow or medium. I have a wide foot, and it was too narrow - I went with the Classic Flip Flop instead, which worked wonderfully!

Super Comformatble Flats

I have worn Okabashi shoes for years. My favorite ever was the Cleo (which I still don't know why they discontinued). It's successor, the Sienna, is my second favorite... This little beauty is ultra comfortable and it's my newest favorite. They hug the feet and massage as you walk. The nubs on the foot bed are just enough to relax the muscles, but not irritate at all. Combine that with a fantastic arch support and your feet are in heaven! I work retail and these little babies save my feet nightly. :)

High-end Quality

The first time I went to Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, I spent time at their famous, QUA spa. I was given these to wear around the spa. They were so comfortable, I knew I had to have them no matter what the cost. I looked at the soles and wrote down, "Okabashi," so I could research how to get my own pair.
Imagine my surprise when I found this convenient website! Of course, my jaw then dropped when I saw the extremely affordable price!
Now this was a few years ago & I don't know if QUA still uses the same brand/style. If they don't, their clients simply are missing out on "the little things" that turn a great experience into an excellent one.

These shoes are OK. They are a little wide and not as cute as a lot of their other shoes. They are comfortable though.

Their Sizing Doesn't Work for Me
July 31, 2012
Reviewer:  JLF

While I realize that their S-M-ML-L sizing is designed to help keep costs down, this sizing does not work for me. ML is too small for me (not only in this shoe, in other styles as well) and L is too big. I am not going to return shoes yet again because I will ultimately spend more money on shipping than the shoes are worth. But it is unfortunate because I liked the idea of this kind of shoe and am rather disappointed that they did not work out for me.

On a mission for pool shoes…

I had been searching for pool sandals to replace my broken ones, but everything I found had that "thing" between the toes, which I hate. I finally spotted a few pairs on a rack at my local Shaw's grocery store for only $9.99 and they were made in the USA!! I tried them on, and since they felt great, I bought them. When I got home and read about the company, I was delighted that I posted about them on facebook, a rarity for me. Well, I love wearing them at the pool so much that I plan to buy more for other purposes such as teaching middle schoolers. Thanks to all of you people at the Okabashi company for making such a great product.

The only Okabashi's so far I'm not a huge fan of...

So I have 7 different styles of Okabashi's (and 8 pairs)...I have the Paris, Sienna, Splash, Pacific, Ocean (2 pairs) and the Waves. Oh, and just ordered the Messina's. Don't get me wrong, these are decent shoes. They have all the support of the others but I feel like they make my feet sweaty more than any others. And when they don't feel like that, I feel my feet "stick" in them. Just not the most comfortable pair I own. In fact they are the most uncomfortable Okabashi's I personally have. I don't have sweaty feet either but I think it's just because there is so much rubber material in one spot and no "openings" like flip flop styles or the Paris, for example. I still wear them...they are just shower shoes now!
