I bought my husband and I each a pair of Torino's about 10 years ago. They have been the most comfortable, longest lasting shoes we have ever owned. They are warm in the winter. I had foot surgery and they are the only thing I can wear that does not cause pain. We wear them in and out of the water on our boat too. I cannot say enough about how great these Torino's have been. I am ordering new ones today because my husband's have finally cracked a bit; mine are still in great shape!

That's right indoors in winter. Now I won't pretend that this is for everybody but really if you keep the bottoms of your feet from direct contact with the floors you'll be warmer. That saves energy because you won't be tempted to raise the thermostat walking around the house with nude feet. You see insulators work not only to keep hot surfaces you walk on in summer from burning your feet but help keep your body from losing heat on cold surfaces. I find that insulated house slippers for active people are really too insulating. They don't allow air to circulate sufficiently around your feet and your feet actually start sweating. This is just one more opportunity for odor and bacteria to infiltrate your person. Everybody can appreciate the discomfort this can cause, so why not try a different solution. Wear your sandals year round.Better yet get two pairs. It's a pain when you're doing quick chores in the garage and your trying to keep dust and dirt out of the house which is harder in winter. Keep your extra pair by the door and swap when your prepping out in the garage for one of those winter honey-do projects inside the house proper.

These sandals are the best. After at least a decade, my previous pair finally gave out. I was extremely happy to see Okabashi still had them available. My feet are very, very happy. I highly recommend Okabashi sandals to everyone and I will be ordering another style soon. I know I will NOT be disappointed. Just buy them!

I was first exposed to the Okabashi Torino in a LV hotel spa - liked them so much I acquired a pair. Never stopped loving these sandals - to the point where I purchased them for many family members over the years as gifts - and they ALL loved them as well! Comfort, durability, traction in wet environment - and environmentally friendly to boot! At this consumer friendly price it's truly a no-brainer purchase! Do yourself the favor!

I bought my 1st pair of Torinos in the '80s, and I still own and wear them. I bought my 2nd pair in '09. Although they don't let the top of your foot air dry as well as other styles, they are the most comfortable style for the bottom of my feet. .

My first pair of Okabashis were purchased in 1992. I've purchased many pairs sinces then but the first pair lasted until this year. I couldn't part with them because they saw me through a lot of things in my life. My newer ones were just great but I wore the original ones until they gave out. This is a long lasting shoe and comfortable to wear.

Many years ago I discovered the Torino with Magne Plus Reflexology magnets. Far and away the most comfortable and energizing slippers I have ever owned. Sadly this feature was discontinued a couple of years ago and now the Tortino is just another pair of slippers.

I really like these shoes and the price is very good. I bought them because I was searching for shoes that are made in the US, not China. I think these are very competitive and great shoes to wear.

Those are my best and the only slippers I can wear at home. If I go on the trip and I forget to take them with me and cannot completely relax. (I cannot feel "at home" if I wear outdoor shoes). The only problem I tear them apart every couple of years but with Internet store it's now easy buy new ones.

I first purchased a similar pair in D.C. in 1971 under the name Otafuku. I later found the Okabashi in a discount store but don't remember where. I have been wearing them for more than thirty years. As my old ones began to tear up after about ten years, I desperately serched the internet and was I glad to find the site. My only complaint is theat the Torino is made of softer material than it once was and tends to flop around more. I did purchase several pair, including another style.

I have been wearing the Torino shoe for over 12 years. It was a comfortable long lasting shoe for indoors or outdoors. However, the ones I purchased on my last order had a slight design change which made the shoe unwearable. The area for arch support was raised significantly making the shoe uncomfortable for me. I switched to the eurosport shoe which lower arch support.

I have been an Okabashi customer for nearly two decades and counting. Having wide flat feet that were difficult to fit , I was in foot heaven when I found the shoe that gave my feet the proper support they needed and the comfort I long desired.

About 20 years ago I purchased my first Torinos. I have severe foot problems and they are the only way I can walk in the house. The problem is they are a men's SMALL and you apparently don't make them in that size anymore. I wonder if you could look in all corners and see if you could find 1 or 2 pair? These are falling apart and I'm desperate!! Thanks for a great product and I hope you can help.

I was first introduced to Okabashi sandals by my husband. He bought his first pairs at the Veterans Store at our local Veterans Medical Center. They were exactly what I was looking for. I have foot problems and wearing regular shoes all day was very uncomfortable. I would put on my Okabashi's as soon as I got home from work. Now that I am retired, I wear them most of the time, and purchased several pair when my favorite style was discontinued. The Torino is the closest they make now, and I will definitely purchase them when I need to restock. I can't say enough good things about their comfort, wearablilty, and how long they last. They are an excellent value for the money.

My Okabashi's fit my feet like glove on hand! They are so comfortable, and form to the bottom of my feet, I wear them ALL year long! Even in winter, in the house, and sometimes a quick trrip outside with my beagle, I'm in my Okabashi's! No shoes required. It's just too bad I have to take them off when I go to work!

I run ultra marathons for fun, with distances from 26 miles to 100 miles. After there's nothing like slipping into my Torinos for some real comfort for the sore beaten up puppies. I've got 2 pair and when I don't have a pair of running shoes on the Torinos will be there. Maybe you could make a running shoe and I'd never have to take Okabashis off!

I've worn Okabashi Torinos for over twenty years. They are my house shoes, my working-from-the-ladder shoes, my casual going out shoes and my Summer sandals. Don't change these shoes, and don't cheapen them!. They're perfect. After five years or so, I throw them out so I can order new ones...

I got the torinos many years ago, used them for all my casual lounging about the house and work, had a few pairs, but after time they ripped out the upper so I ordered them on line, and was not happy with the new sizing and the material. I switched to the eurosport and feel very comfortable in those, and all the enjoyment I had gotten with the old torinos I feel are well served by the eurosport.

I have used the Torino type sandal for over 15 years & they lasted over a year each. I use them daily. When I could not find them in local stores, I began to order direct from the Okabashi website. LL was my size, but for whatever reason, this size became too small & I had to order XL. I like them, but find that the sandal no longer lasts very long before tearing at the top after about 4-6 weeks of use. I'm not sure I will be buying these again.

I discoverd the Torino sandal about fifteen years ago when I had what I believe was planter fascilitis. The bottom of my heels were very painful and I could wear the Torino with more comfort than any other shoe. I do however prefer the original design and original material or finish.

These Sandals are the best sandals I ever owned. Comfortable, washable to a point and made in the USA which we as Americans need to look @ when purchasing in a weak economy that focuses too much on overseas labor like CHINA which I hate. I also like the fact that these sandals are affordable and not expensive. Keep up the good work of producing U.S. made sandals.

I enjoy the sandals and LOVE that they are made in USA. Strangely, on two of my pairs the left sandal split across the top but not the right ones. Am I a big foot lefty?Luckily, I have two more pairs, so we'll see what happens with those. KEEP making them in the USA!

I stumbled across your website a few years ago when I was searching for American-made, casual shoes that were also vegan. To my surprise, I discovered your shoes were also inexpensive and recyclable!!! The Torino sandals I purchased have covered many miles with me, comforting my feet every step of the way. I found them to be so comfortable, I ended up buying another pair to use exclusively indoors. Ordering is convenient and shipping is fast!!! I will always buy from Okabashi!

I wear these shoes all the time. I prefer the original design of Okabashi sandals to the "new, improved" design. The "new" design is tolerable, but I (and the rest of my family) vastly prefer the original footbed!

I have personally worn these sandals for the last 20+ years. I have been satisfied with the quality of the material, the fitting and the color if I had to rate them on a scale I would give them a 10, only draw back is the price for shipping. which is constantly rising, I love the shoe, will order more in the future

My 65 y/o husband has several pairs of Torino shoes -- one pair for shower, one pair for garden, one pair for running around the house, one pair for errands, and one pair never-before-worn that sit in the closet "just in case". LOVES 'em. Last forever. Washable. Durable. Comfortable. And we JUST learned they're recyclable !! Who could ask for anything more !!!!!!

I love these Okabashis. I've worn them for years. They are comfortable and durable. I sometimes wear them outside, but I can wear them in the shower to clean them. When I travel, they go with me, and when I swim in the South Pacific Ocean, they float! I love the floating---so I don't lose them. My wife also loves hers. We have 5 pair!

I first learned about Okabashi through the VA Hospital Retail Store. From the first time I wore a pair of the Torinos I became a lifelong customer. In 15 years I have only gone through two pair although I have purchased several as gifts. I tell everyone I know about the great Okabashi shoes made in the USA and the outstanding Okabashi Company.

My husband bought these shoes roughly 20 years ago. He has been wearing them every day as "house shoes" and they're just now starting to come apart at the strap. That's longevity! These are the only sandals he finds comfortable, and he's very particular since he's standing on concrete floors 6 days a week. These sandals have definitely changed our standards on casual footwear!

What wonderful sandals! I suffer from flat feet and with one exception never put on shoes without first inserting the custom-made orthotics I use to lessen the pain of walking. The exception is Okabashi sandals, which support my feet in comfort without orthotics. I discovered these cheap, tough sandals by accident in a drug store more than 10 years ago and have been wearing them around the house ever since. I must have gone through a dozen pairs of Okabashi Torinos. If I thought there was any danger of Okabashi going out of business, I'd buy a lifetime's supply before they closed. Got flat feet? Check out Okabashi.
