We are proud to be one of the few remaining shoe manufactures in the United States. Our pride is coupled with a commitment to promote and uphold the highest environmental standards. We are aware of our processes and the impact it has on the environment. In turn, we promote energy and resource conservation internally. Our high efficiencies help reduce the amount of waste we produce.
Clean
Okabash shoes are not disposable – each pair lasts for years, creating less waste. In addition, we practice “clean” manufacturing, creating no waste in our processes.
Recyclable 
Each Okabashi shoe is made from our proprietary Microplast(TM) material that is completely recyclable via the cradle-to-cradle recycling process. A complete consumer-based recycling program is currently being developed.
Made in the USA
Okabashi shoes are all Made in the USA, which means that we are reducing our use of natural resources by reducing the distance our shoes travel.
Thoughtful Manufacturing
Okabashi has always used up to 15% recycled material to manufacture each shoe. Okabashi has been GREEN for over 25 years!
