Our Name
Our name is inspired by the Japanese concept of wellness.
Our original shoe designs were created using principles of reflexology. The theory behind reflexology is that each area of the foot corresponds to different organs and systems of the body. Applying pressure to key areas of the foot is believed to bring relaxation and healing to the corresponding area of the body.

Our proprietary material is made in the USA and is 100% recyclable. We operate a closed loop manufacturing system and invite our customers to send back their well loved and worn Okabashi shoes for recycling, and receive 15% off their next purchase.
